Capital Title Insurance names new President and CEO
Tom Lico has been appointed president and CEO of Capital Title Insurance Agency, Inc., the title insurance company affiliated with Real Estate One, Inc.
Lico has been acting in this capacity since March 2004 on an interim basis. He had previously served since 1998 as Vice President of Operations for Real Estate One’s affiliated mortgage company, John Adams Mortgage Company.
“We are excited to have Tom in this role,” says Real Estate One’s President of Financial Services Stuart Elsea. “Tom brings a great deal of energy, enthusiasm and ideas to Capital Title Insurance which we are confident will result in continued growth and improved services.”
Lico says he’s eager to put that energy and those ideas to work. “I’ve been meeting with our Realtors and branch managers to find out what their needs and expectations are and putting processes in place to meet those needs. But I’m also making sure those processes allow us provide service that’s even faster, more inexpensive and more hassle-free to our customers than ever before.”
“I intend to fully realize the potential of Capital Title Insurance and Real Estate One doing business together,” says Lico. “Real Estate One is growing, so my goal for Capital Title Insurance is to re-examine and redirect our internal business processes to meet the broker’s growing demands. We’re questioning every facet of our business to determine what’s working to get us there and what needs to be re-engineered to achieve that goal.”
Lico is confident he can excel in both the role of president and CEO because he understands what each will demand of him. “These are two separate roles, I believe. As president, I have to make sure we are handling our customers and our business efficiently today. As CEO, I’m looking around the corner because the customer’s needs, technology and the industry are always evolving. We need to make sure we’re evolving with it.”
