Real Estate Investing Profits Motivate Educational Over-Spend

November 5, 2004 -- “Real estate investing is profitable. Last year I earned $97,645 in only 7 months part-time fixing up just 4 cheap little houses (even with a heart attack and surgery). This kind of house can be found everywhere in every part of the country. But how do you learn these skills? In my hometown of Nashville, dozens of TV infomercials air each year offering real estate investing seminars. Most of these real estate investment courses cost $3000 and more for one to three days of instructional training.” http://www.real---estate---investing.com/real-estate-investing/index.html

“But the real estate investing seminar is not the primary target for real estate investing gurus conducting these events. Whether the cost is $3000 or only $39 (as a TV infomercial lead-in teaser), the introductory bait is only the first step in a two-step process for a real estate investing “boot camp,” a real estate investing “convention” in Orlando or L.A., or a real estate investing offer for “coaching.” This second step which follows the real estate investing seminar costs as much as $25,000!”

“Do these gurus have a monopoly on real estate investing education? Must learning real estate investing be exorbitant?”

“Fortunately, I did not rely on the advice of the gurus when I started my real estate investing career 25 years ago (and yes, the seminars were offered back then too). I had no cash and no credit, but I bought $1 million in cheap little houses the first year with a $10 bill. I continued to amass another $1 million in properties the same way the second year. I reached a multi-million dollar net worth in the 3rd year, and won a Caribbean cruise as one of the top real estate investors in America. By the 4th year I had bought $10 million worth of properties, and was featured in the Wall Street Journal as the most successful real estate investor in Nothing Down Real Estate.” For more about Dr.Speer’s techniques, see

Everyone needs some help or advice in acquiring real estate investing skills, but the learning process does not need to break the bank. Examine the alternatives to real estate investing education.
