TD Smith of Telluride Real Estate Corporation Sells the Highest Price Home in Telluride, Colorado

Telluride, CO April 29, 2005 -- 2004 was a banner year in the Telluride, San Miguel County, Colorado real estate market. The figures compiled by Judi Kiernan of Telluride Consulting shows that the total dollar volume was $617 million, 13% higher than the previous high of $546 million set in 2000. The sales figure represents a 42% increase over sales in 2003. The total number of sales was 854 in 2004, an increase of 14% from 2003.

The highest contributing property type for dollar volume in 2004 were single-family homes in Mountain Village, an upscale European-style village at 9,000 feet overlooking the most magnificent peaks in the San Juan Mountains. The home sales there totaled $104 million. 30 Mountain Village homes were sold throughout 2004 with the average price tag of $3.5 million. TD Smith of Telluride Real Estate Corporation led the pack with the most expensive sale in the Mountain Village in 2004, at $11 million.
