Point2 Technologies Syndicates Real Estate Listing Data To Google Base / LiveDeal / PropSmart
Point2 Technologies Inc. (“Point2”) today announced that real-time data feeds from the company’s online real estate marketplace, Point2Homes.com, to property search websites Google Base and Trulia are now active.
Additional feeds to LiveDeal and PropSmart are expected to go live later this month.
The feeds are part of a broad data syndication initiative Point2 introduced last February and that aims to capitalize on consumer traffic on innovative online real estate listing venues, to further increase traffic and sales lead flow to Point2 Agent member websites.
“The simple fact is that consumers are now starting their home search online, and they are starting on web properties like Google Base and new innovators like Trulia,” said Brendan King, chief operating officer at Point2 Technologies. “These consumers are looking for listings, and this presents a great new branding and traffic opportunity for Realtors® who are able to take advantage by displaying their listings on these sites.”
“Home buyers and sellers are turning to sites that offer consumer oriented tools such as mapping, neighborhood information and innovative search,” said Jeff Tomlin, manager of market research at Point2 Technologies. “Organizations such as NAR (National Association of Realtors®) and CAR (California Association of Realtors®) have produced some very clear research describing exactly what online consumers are looking for. Search engines have done their own research and they are really addressing consumer interests. We’re making sure our members and their listings are represented in these places.”
Point2Homes.com aggregates unique, information-rich home listings drawn from brokerage and agent websites built using the Point2 Agent software platform. Point2 Agent is available for free at www.Point2Agent.com.
