New Nigerian Property Portal Launched

The Web site, http://www.Propertyinnigeria.com, has a series of services that utilise technology as a means of unleashing the property potentials of untapped markets. With presence in the UK, Holland, USA and Spain, they are actively marketing Nigerian properties abroad via their property road show campaign.

Property in Nigeria has for a while being focused on certain states like Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan and Lagos. This deprives the other states from benefiting from their property potentials, states like Kaduna, Sokoto, Abia, Osun, Ogun, Niger and so forth. Propertyinnigeria.com (
http://www.propertyinnigeria.com) initially contacted over 500 real estate agents in Nigeria and thereby covered every state in Nigeria.

Properties that are listed on the internet need pictures;
http://www.Propertyinnigeria.com has made it even easier for the real estate agents to list photographs of their properties by using MMS (Multimedia messaging service). A real estate agent simply takes up to six pictures of the property and sends the pictures and text describing the properties to the administrator, who is based in Abuja ,and then subsequently loads the property on to the real estate agent’s portfolio. This service has mitigated the lack on internet access and computers that most real estate agents in remote states may be facing.

Fraud and especially 419 scams are perennial in Nigeria,
http://www.Propertyinnigeria.com CEO in London, Ben Oguntala AIISP (Associate of the Institute of Information Security Professionals, who is a seasoned Security risk management consultant, said, "419 succeeds mostly because the scammers are hoping the clients will not independently verify the information they have been presented with; as a result, we have mitigated this risk with our project online assistant (POA) - a client can send our agents to investigate a property, supplier or any claim, and we would investigate with the authorities, correlate the information and corroborate the information provided, the POA service will then produce photographic evidence as well as report of our findings for the clients to see via a secured website. This service essentially breaks the chain of events in the 419 scams and it is part of our due diligence practice.
