Home Staging Guide Shares Insider Secrets to Better Home Sales

Decorate-Redecorate (www.decorate-redecorate.com) has announced the launch of its new, comprehensive, checklist guide entitled "Home Staging for Yourself." This 80-page guide is designed for any do-it-yourself homeowner wanting to prepare their home to be sold at a higher profit in less time.

With the rise in interest rates, the real estate market has gone soft in many parts of the country. Not only has this created a perplexing dilemma for owners, but for real estate agents as well. As a result, owners need to put extra effort into making their properties more appealing to a smaller quantity of potential buyers.

Home staging has proven itself as an almost guaranteed method for an owner to out-distance other properties on the market of equivalent size and age since only about six percent of owners even understand the value of home staging before putting it up for sale.

Barbara Jennings, CEO of Decorate-Redecorate, states, "We train home staging professionals and re-designers who give consultation services and work with homeowners to properly present their properties to buyers. When the owner takes the time and effort to properly prepare the house and property, it is customary to sell for much more money and in a far shorter time period. Sometimes real estate agents offer the consultation services to their clients and sometimes a professional will work directly with the owner."

Jennings goes on to say: "We realized that there was a dire need for a truly comprehensive checklist for homeowners and home staging professionals to use, particularly when they work with the DIY owner. So we decided to publish a guide that could be used by both the professional and the owner as well."

"Home Staging for Yourself" takes the owner or stager step-by-step through the entire process from the curb to the front door, throughout the interior of the house and back outside again. It helps the owner and stager identify the problems within the exterior and interior and is broken down into five segments for each area or room they plan to address: decluttering, sanitizing, repairing, depersonalizing and enhancing.
