Now, thanks to UmYup, you can find what properties are likely to come on the market where you want to buy (before they actually do!) and also who is keen to snap up your current home. The service is free of charge and in complete confidence until you choose to share your information. You can even target a 'wish list' of individual properties you would like to buy and UmYup will make sure that the owners know there is someone in the market should they decide to sell.

UmYup, is a new internet property 'exchange' that gives homeowners nationwide the ability to swap details about their properties, build lists of possible buyers and find their dream home - whenever they are likely to move.

The UmYup website offers users the chance to share information securely and dip a toe in the property market without actually putting their house up for sale. It gives homeowners nationwide the ability to swap details about their properties, build lists of potential buyers and find their perfect home - whenever they decide to move.

Homeowners can build a list of potential buyers for their home and contact other UmYup homeowners to let them know they are interested in their property should they decide to sell. Total privacy is assured as house numbers and full postcodes are always hidden. However, UmYuppers can contact prospective buyers and send pictures using a secure system.

UmYup Managing Director Andy Brown explains: "Every UmYup user is a homeowner thinking about moving at some point in the short or long term. Our service allows homeowners to share information safely whether or not their house is currently on the market.

The basic service is free, meaning users could potentially save an average of Ł3,000 in fees and pay less for their dream home should they choose not to use an estate agent. And for a small fee of Ł14.99 for six months, users can upgrade their account to search more detailed property information and to communicate with other users.

Andy adds: "The site is basically a social network. Every user is asked to share the same amount of information. This exchange platform is a self-policing system where users can give feedback and rate individuals to make the experience more enjoyable.

If anyone has ever dreamed of finding their ideal home, then UmYup is the perfect solution. UmYuppers can even invite owners of their dream home to join by using the 'UmYup by Invitation' service.
