SharkPage Introduces Lakefront Property Marketplace LakeShark

SharkPage launched its third residential property marketplace: LakeShark (http://www.lakeshark.com), geared towards lake houses for sale and lakefront property rentals.

Better known for its commercial property websites, SharkPage is on a residential tear. Last month, the company introduced BeachShark (http://www.beachshark.com), for oceanfront homes; and SkiShark (http://www.skishark.com), for ski houses. The company's commercial sites include HotelShark, MedShark, and RestaurantShark.

LakeShark serves a big market. A November study released by the National Association of Realtors found that 76% of vacation home owners chose property located near a lake or other body of water ("New Survey Establishes Benchmark on Second-Home Owners, Market," November 9, 2002). Already listed on LakeShark is lakefront real estate in California, Colorado, Michigan, and New Hampshire.

Because an online search is an increasingly common start in the home buying process, LakeShark was developed to be a top search engine result for lake property queries. SharkPage sites generally lead search categories. For example, HotelShark is the first English-language result for the term "hotel for sale" on Google, the leading Internet search engine. SharkPage expects LakeShark to be similarly positioned in its category by the end of the second quarter, after major search engines have completed their update cycles.

Ads on LakeShark may be placed through the Internet, at http://www.lakeshark.com . Neither LakeShark nor its parent SharkPage, Inc. are affiliated with either the National Association of Realtors or Google Inc.

About LakeShark

LakeShark is the online lakefront property marketplace, including lakefront vacation rentals and lake houses for sale. LakeShark provides real estate professionals with an effective way to market lakefront properties for sale and lakefront rentals. LakeShark is available free of charge on the Internet at http://www.lakeshark.com . LakeShark is owned by SharkPage, Inc., a privately held corporation based in Palo Alto, California.
