The Nation’s Leading Online Realtor Reports Sales Continue At Record-Breaking Pace
-- New Homes Realty, Inc. is the real estate broker that defied the dot-com “bubble-burst” and returned to profitability in 2001. The company reported new home sales of $157 million for the first six months of 2002. This compares with $123 million for the like period last year. Despite “9-11” and a troubled economy the year-end sales reported for 2001 reached a record $222 million.
According to Richard Davis, president and CEO of New Homes Realty, online visitors to www.NewHomes.com now average over 500,000/month, an increase of 35% over 2001, even with the elimination of previous media advertising designed to draw visitors to the site. The company now utilizes the optimization of search engine technology to attract potential new homebuyers to its award-winning website.
Davis indicated that his company had not strayed from its original specialization concept of 10 years ago. Its continued performance in the new homes sales niche has enabled New Homes Realty to prosper despite the fact that it has barely scratched the surface of the domestic homebuilding market, which will see over 900,000 new homes completed in the U.S. this year.
The company began operating as a pioneering Buyer’s Broker called New Homes Advisory specializing in sales of new homes in 1992. Their www.NewHomes.com website first appeared in 1995 with a modest online selection of Florida new homes. The website now features more than 50,000 new home images in 29 of the nation’s 50 primary relocation markets in 16 states from Florida to California and new homes are being added to the site at the rate of about 500 per month by a partner-staff of Photoshop technicians located in SE Asia.
A feature that makes this company unique is that, unlike conventional Realtors, it takes no listings. But, of great importance, the company provides its sales agents (called Field Partners) with sales leads via a web-based application process on a daily basis. It is coordinated by LeadSuite a proprietary software program and a typical Field Partner can anticipate 30-50 new leads each month. The company generates 10-15,000 leads each month, which are distributed to the sales staff. Each Field Partner, of whom there are now over 150, operates from a “virtual office”, usually in his or her own home. The company maintains corporate offices in Clearwater, Florida employing an office and executive staff of just fourteen.
