A new web site was unveiled today that targets a niche market of home sellers, FSBO's. FSBO's, an acronym for "For Sale By Owner", are property sellers who sell their own real estate without the conventional services of Realtors.
The FSBO listing service, < http://www.singleslists.com/fsbo > is a start-up business, founded by Julie Schaul. Schaul, a 35-year-old Technical Support Rep from Portland, OR, and former Realtor, endured three dot com layoffs in two years and decided it was time to start her own business.
"Necessity is the mother of invention." Schaul quoted, "Three members of my family were laid off. I needed to create jobs for us that were recession proof. I realized that there was a void that needed to be filled and that nobody was offering a service to list FSBO's properties on the "For Sale By Owner" web sites. It's a win-win situation."
The FSBO listing website was set up to assist people who sell their own real estate by providing free promotion resources and economical listing services for those who don't want to input all of their real estate data themselves. Also, by hiring Telecommuters, Schaul said she hopes to provide jobs for others, while keeping overhead low enough to offer economical services to the FSBO sector.
