EXTREME WALK-THROUGH OFFERS EXTREME CONVENIENCE FOR HOME BUYERS

"While selling our home, we are using the Internet to shop for a new home near Orlando," explains, Donald A. Thomas, Jr, homeowner and Webmaster for the Web site. "It is refreshing to see so many homes for sale on the Internet, but I am always left wanting for larger photographs, floor plans or just more information. I wanted to create a site that gave me the experience I would like to have for a home in which I might be interested."

          Don spent several days to build the site from scratch. He took photos of every room with his digital camera. In some cases, the view he wanted was too tall or too wide for the camera lens, so he took multiple pictures and stitched them together on the computer. Don animated the fire in the gas fireplace to call attention to it being controlled by a remote control. The floor plans were created from measurements that Don made of each room and he made it possible to simply click on a room in the floor plan to see an image of it. A highlight of the home is a beautiful 3-season addition that was completed just last year. Don took a night shot of that room to show how it can look like an area at a resort after dark.

          What is Don and Lynn's best advice for selling a home?

          "Get a good agent and make the home immaculately clean," replies Don. "After that, anything to make the home memorable for the buyer can't hurt."

          Don has been approached by Realtors and asked about creating similar sites for their showcase homes. He is considering doing just that after the dust settles from his relocation.
