Only Two Homes Remain at The Bartholomew in Historic Downtown Neighborhood

Construction crews are ready to roll as work begins on The Bartholomew, a new six-unit condominium residence at 1352 Pennsylvania Street adjacent to the prestigious Molly Brown House in the Historic Pennsylvania Street
District of downtown Denver. Only two homes remain available at this dazzling new creation, characterized by the style and charm reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century brownstone.

Daria Castiglione, owner and developer of The Wanatah and The Beers, and principal of Castle Lion Development LLC, a firm specializing in urban restorations and historically-accurate recreations, is spearheading this new venture. Wendy Handler and Dan Fead of Fuller Towne & Country Properties are marketing the project.

Upon completion, The Bartholomew will contain six spacious condominium residences highlighted by a beautiful turn-of-the-century facade showcasing brick and stone details, private balconies, and elegant “painted lady” minutiae. Priced from the high $300’s, homes at The Bartholomew include elevator access, two deeded underground parking spaces and a choice of “loft” or “classic-styled” interior spaces.

“The Bartholomew is an incredibly unique project, featuring all of the sophisticated charm of a Victorian-era brownstone with all of the nuances of modern construction and interior design,” said Dan Fead. “When completed, The Bartholomew will blend seamlessly with other structures in the neighborhood, but residents will retain peace-of-mind, knowing the building will not be in need of structural, electrical, or plumbing updates. We are seeing the creation of a new landmark.”

The two remaining homes at The Bartholomew feature 1,933 and 1,988-square-feet of luxurious living space, respectively, including two bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths.

Homes are distinguished by soaring nine to 11-foot ceilings, rich hardwood flooring throughout the main living area, plus nearly 150-square feet of outdoor space on the front and rear balconies.

Interior designs showcase handsome crown moulding details and gas-log fireplaces. Gourmet kitchens are open to the living area and a generous cabinet and countertop allowance is given to buyers to design their own kitchens. A GE appliance package includes a 30-inch gas oven/broiler, a Potscrubber dishwasher and a built-in microwave oven.

The “Loft Style” home incorporates a spacious Great Room-centered plan while the “Classic Style” showcases a formal library with handsome pocket doors, plus the possibility of an additional gas-log fireplace.

Construction at The Bartholomew is already underway with a tentative
completion date set for Summer 2003.
