"Are You Ready for Wall-to-Wall Concrete in the Living Room?"

FLEXCRETE the leading company in seamless concrete flooring recently patented what may be the answer to the homeowner's dilemma when purchasing wall-to-wall carpeting.

Bob Melland, President of Flexcrete said that his company's invention, a patented method that eliminates cracking in concrete, allows for the first time, stamped concrete floors to be used in the home. Surface designs range from the realistic stone appearance to the smooth variegated acid-stained look. Homeowners have over a 100 styles from which to choose.

Up until now, the homeowner has had to accept carpeting for what it is--high installation costs to weekly vacuuming, shampooing, stain and odor removal, not to mention replacement every 7 to 10 years. In addition the homeowner has to cope with the fact that carpets are breeding grounds for dust mites, bacteria, and toxic smells given off by petroleum based products from which most carpets are made.

Flexcrete has all the makings of what a floor should be--permanent, water-resisting, hypo-allergenic, fireproof, and many colors, patterns, and textures to choose from.

Requiring minimal floor prep, Flexcrete is easily installed over any flat, clean, structurally sound surface including contaminated, moisture-problem or uneven concrete subfloors. Since the concrete is poured to a thin 3/4" thickness it is light in weight and does not require additional structural floor support when placed over wood construction.

Flexcrete is real concrete. Its wearing surface can be stained, stamped, textured, or just trowelled smooth. Since it contains no reinforcement, it can easily be sawn, altered or removed at any time. If damaged, the floor can be repaired to match the existing. Flexcrete meets ADA standards and can be heated either hydronically or by electric resistance wiring.

Located in Denver, CO Flexcrete Flooring Co. has been involved with the promotion and selling of concrete flooring nationwide since 1996. The company is committed to the use of natural products from sustainable sourses.
