H.G. Fenton Company, one of San Diego’s largest private real estate owners and developers, announces three new promotions within its commercial real estate division.
Kevin Hill has been promoted to the position of vice president of leasing, where he will lead marketing efforts for the company’s existing 2.9-million-square-foot industrial portfolio as well as for new development projects. These include the 1-million-square-foot Fenton Technology Park in Sorrento Mesa, which offers a variety of build-to-suit and multi-tenant opportunities, and Carlsbad Corporate Center, an industrial project comprising 150,173 square feet in two existing buildings, one of which is still available and offers 76,693 square feet. An additional 105,000 square feet is planned for development on an adjacent 8-acre parcel. Hill is also directing leasing efforts for a new speculative two-story, 74,000-square-foot building in Mission Valley Heights.
Geoff Swortwood, who has been a key part of H.G. Fenton Company’s commercial management, development and acquisitions team for the past 12 years, has been promoted to director of commercial development. In his position, Swortwood will direct all commercial building development and acquisition activities for H.G. Fenton Company. He is particularly focused on growing the company’s rapidly growing build-to-suit and speculative development program, which includes Fenton Technology Park, Carlsbad Corporate Center, Mission Valley Heights, and a variety of other existing and pending projects throughout San Diego County.
Shelly Weld (RPA, CPM), who for the past year has served as team director for H.G. Fenton Company’s commercial property management group, has been promoted to director of commercial property management. In this capacity, she will lead all management and tenant relations activities for the company’s commercial real estate portfolio, which is approaching 3 million square feet.
“These individuals are dedicated to providing H.G. Fenton Company tenants with locations that meet their business needs and the highest possible level of customer service,” said Mike Neal, president of H.G. Fenton Company. “As we grow our portfolio through acquisitions and development, Kevin, Geoff and Shelly will play an even larger role in helping us to ensure that every H.G. Fenton Company project meets or exceeds tenant expectations.”
