Downtown Silver Spring Alliance Launches Web Site
The Downtown Silver Spring Alliance, a non-profit formed by leading real estate firms to bring the story of the New Downtown Silver Spring to the marketplace, has launched a new web site: www.downtownsilverspringalliance.com.
The comprehensive, information rich web site is designed to provide a convenient, one-stop resource for real estate professionals and decision makers with responsibility for real estate services and investment. The web site builds on the momentum of the renaissance that is underway in Silver Spring, Maryland, which includes the opening of the new world headquarters of Discovery Communications and the American Film Institute. The declining vacancy rate in the New Downtown Silver Spring, which is now below 10% and trending lower, makes it one of the strongest sub markets in the region. An ever-growing list of diverse amenities will be further enhanced by the second phase of Downtown Silver Spring, a 22-acre, mixed-use development encompassing four city blocks in the heart of central business district that will arrive in 2004.
“Silver Spring is being transformed into an exciting, dynamic, first class business location that offers an excellent value for office, retail and residential users,” said Charles K. In addition to details on transportation, retail, restaurant and entertainment amenities, the web site provides information on commercial leasing opportunities and features downloadable, PDF format marketing materials that can be used by commercial real estate brokers and other interested parties. www.downtownsilverspringalliance.com also includes links to related web sites and a downloadable amenities map of this close-in Maryland suburb that is a regional transportation hub and only minutes from Washington, DC.
