Artisan Community Development in Dripping Springs.
Hill Country Studios announced today plans for a first phase, restricted use, 40 acre Artisan Residential Studio Community Venture West of Austin, Texas off Ranch Road 12 North. This community will provide a natural rustic setting for artists to unify home, creative work and marketing as a group while maintaining their autonomy. Artisans will be encouraged to build with "green awareness" making the most of sustainability concepts for building and living. Landscapes will remain natural utilizing native plants and flowers.
The Werth Gallery is the first residential studio workshop model at Hill Country Studios, on 3.25 acres, and is now open. The first two 2.5+ acre building lots are currently available for sale in this restricted use home-gallery-studio-workshop venture.
Approximately ten acres of the initial 40 acre tract will be set aside as a preserve for walking trails and environmental sculptures. As demand increases for this unique live/work/studio project there is a second phase planned on an adjacent 40 acre tract.
A 2,000 sq/ft house with studio space available is for sale adjacent to Hill Country Studios entrance on RR 12 N of Dripping Springs.
