Misters of Real Estate: Nicknames Fuel Web Pitches

Everyone wants a cool nickname.

Especially in the real estate industry, a catchy handle makes it easy to be picked out of a crowd---and to say you’re Mr. So-and-so, well, so much the better.

Here’s some of our favorites on the Web:

Joe F. Bottorff of Realty Executives in Indianapolis – aka Mr. Sold. Sold refers to himself in the third person on his Web site and has "mr_sold.com" on his email address. His site features a photo of Sold kneeling next to his Caddy. Guess what the plates read.

Phil Gerisilo, associate broker at John L. Scott in the Seattle are – aka Mr. Real Estate. Phil’s site says he was a "Top Producer" for eight years and ranks in the "top 1% nationally". He also cornered the URL for his nickname before anyone else.

Charlie Burleson of Charlie’s Beech Mountain Realty & Rentals in North Carolina – aka Mr. Beech. Beech is a Realtor®, broker and contractor who first came to Beech Mountain in 1967 a a student working part time on an area development. Now in name, he and the alps are one.

Digital Asset Co. Ltd., real estate service company – aka Mr. Home. As best we can tell, Mr. Home is a plastic man palm living in Bangkok, Thailand with a bright blue phone glued to his ear. Mr. Home says he’s an expert in "advicing" you how to buy a home there. Advice us, baby.
